FROM THE FOUNDER'S HEART

our founder aziza harris

Vision Beauty Institute was birth in my heart MANY years ago. I realized being an educator was more than just teaching curriculum but inspiring and motivating people to be the best version of themselves. While attending beauty college my life had taken a turn in the wrong direction. I was facing prison time… but God! I was fortunate enough to meet some amazing people that helped me make a complete 180. I gave my life to Christ and the real work began. My instructors and Pastor at the time inspired me to do for others what they did for me; help individuals such as myself make better life choices. I said to myself, “This is what I want to do! I finished the program with honors. After almost 10 years in the industry, the opportunity presented itself for me to enroll in the instructor’s program. I needed this certification to open my own school. I moved to Texas and did just that!

After 10 years of teaching and seeing not only the highs and success stories of what this industry provides; I saw many opportunities on how to make it better. I worked with convicted felons, at-risk youths, drug addicts and other individuals with a host of other challenges that came into the program. I recognized that many finished and progressed on to rewarding careers; but one too many did not. The resources needed were not in place to better assist them. VBI understands and will work tirelessly to eradicate these concerns. I know and have practiced the level of commitment it takes to help each individual reach their career and personal goals.
